Productivity tip: Hit the pause button

Have you ever found yourself tangled up in a text or email conversation where several people are posting at once, and the landscape keeps shifting under your feet?  You find yourself responding to only part of a topic, and the conversation becomes increasingly confusing to everyone involved.    

Solution? Pause.  Stop responding.  Let everyone post as they choose.  Then, when it appears that all of the information is on the table, step back in, evaluate what you want to say, and post.  

Pausing regularly on threads with multiple people communicating is a valuable communication tool!
